How to increase fps in League of Legends

It's super easy!

How to increase fps in League of Legends

Now comes the part where you can maximize the fps your computer can handle, be it through your graphics card or your monitor. There are tons of ways to increase your fps like optimizing your settings for gaming and there are also lots to consider, we will list down some of the things that you can do.

Close other applications while you are in-game and adjust graphics settings

Other applications can occupy space in your RAM or even in your video memory, this will cause your frame rates to drop or it might even freeze the game. To immediately close an application you will have to open the task manager.

Task manager
  1. Press ctrl + alt + del
  2. Click Task manager
  3. Click on "Memory" to immediately show applications taking up your RAM space.
  4. Click an application you do not need
  5. Click end task
  6. Close task manager

Repair system files

Sometimes, if your pc has corrupt system files, it can mess up with the operation of your computer. Just like a person with a flu, the computer will not function well unless treated.

Command prompt
  1. Search for cmd in the windows start menu
  2. Click open as administrator
  3. type in the command "sfc /scannow"
  4. Wait for it to finish
  5. Close the terminal

Meet the system requirements of league

Every game has a system requirement which determines if you should have your league fps capped or uncapped, from CPU to video card. All of the items listed in a system requirement of a game should be met with similar hardware or better so you can play the game in its highest quality. League is a simple MOBA game that doesn't require that much from your rig. For you to be able to maximize your fps or framerate, you need to have a hardware similar or better than the recommended one. Failure to meet the requirements will make your game drop in fps and even stutter or freeze.

  • CPU: 3Ghz processor
  • RAM: 2 GB Memory
  • HDD: 12GB of free space
  • OS: Windows 7 or higher operating system
  • DirectX: 9.0c or higher
  • Shader Model: 2.0 or higher
  • Screen Resolution: up to 1920 x 1080

If you have all of the system requirements met, you can check for your fps by simply hitting ctrl + f. For better gameplay and more stable team fights you just need to cap fps. Now that’s all you need to know about uncapping or capping fps and achieving the highest fps or framerate possible.
